UCS Software Update Features Most Extensive Enhancements Ever Released

HOUSTON, July 11, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Universal Computer Systems (UCS) is proud to announce the most comprehensive software update ever provided with its upcoming 23.X release. These software changes offer dealership personnel even greater functionality and flexibility when performing daily tasks.

One of the most notable enhancements is the merging of several service applications into one application -- UCS Service. The consolidation will enable users to manage reservations, repair orders, and estimates more efficiently from a central location.

Major changes have also been made to the overall appearance and navigation of UCS' fourth generation software applications. All POWER Workstation screens offer new color theme preferences for added customization. Finance & Insurance, Service, and Accounting applications now include a "tree view" navigation pane, giving users the ability to access Email, Calendar, and Tasks functions, as well as additional links that are unique to each application. For example, the Accounting software provides each user the option of saving 20 links to their most commonly used posting screens, reports, and inquiries. Graphing capability was also added to Accounting within the G/L Balance Inquiry screen, including the ability to export graph details to a spreadsheet with one click.

Additional applications being introduced include the Marketing Toolbox application designed to simplify the process of building and maintaining letter and email templates, as well as the Digital Image Publishing software enabling users to attach up to 16 separate images to vehicle, employee, and prospect records.

"UCS' 23.X POWER Workstation software release will revolutionize the way our customers experience the UCS System on a daily basis through improved functionality, while maintaining clarity and ease of use. These enhancements simplify navigation and introduce robust new features to maximize productivity and efficiency levels throughout the dealership," notes Dan Agan, Executive Vice President for Universal Computer Systems.
