Mikko Simon has been appointed as Senior Communications Manager of Amer Sports Corporate Communications. He will start in his new position on 15 September, 2006. He will be responsible for developing the Amer Sports brand and its internal and external communications. He will report directly to undersigned.
Prior to joining Amer Sports, Mikko spent six years with the National Football League (NFL), most recently in the capacity of Manager, Digital Media. Before his role at the NFL, Mikko spent two years as Assistant Director of Communications for the Big Ten Conference in Park Ridge (Illinois, USA). Mikko has also worked several years as a freelance journalist for various Finnish media. He completed his Master of Science degree in Sports Business from New York University in 2005.
Mikko was born in New York, but grew up both in the United States and in Finland. For the past 8 years he has lived in the US. In his free time, Mikko enjoys travelling, reading and various sports. He moves back to Finland with his Finnish wife Maria.
