IT Infrastructures, Inc. Wins Another Contract From Sun Microsystems, Inc.

ELIZABETH, Colo., Aug. 15, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- In a major contract award IT Infrastructures, Inc. will continue as the sole external test facility for the Sun Microsystems, Inc. Solaris Ready Program.

IT Infrastructures, Inc. will execute Solaris Ready program testing and verification testing of third party components on the various Sun Solaris Platforms. The Solaris Ready External Laboratory testing process will determine the product's suitability based on ease of installation, use, and compatibility with the Solaris operating system as defined by Sun Microsystems. This testing will include, but is not limited to the following product types: PCI cards, Systems & Platforms, External Peripheral Devices, Software Types, and Device Drivers.

IT Infrastructures, Inc. will perform all Solaris Ready program testing and verification for Sun Microsystems, Inc. The Solaris Ready program provides a means for third party equipment vendors to gain Sun's endorsement for their products' operation in a Sun network computing environment. This endorsement is evidenced by the Solaris Ready logo on the product. The Solaris Ready program is available to any vendor worldwide offering products that run on Sun's sparc or x86 (AMD Opteron processor) based platforms. The third party vendor's equipment and/or software is tested for reliability, compatibility, interoperability, ease-of-installation, functionality and network interoperability. The Solaris Ready program was announced and started in July 1999 and has been very successful in providing a means for Sun's partners, developers, IHVs, ISVs and OEMs to demonstrate to customers that their products are proven in a Sun network computing environment. The Solaris Ready logo indicates that a product has passed Sun's standards for reliability, integration and ease-of-installation. The stringent testing process not only gives customers confidence in the products bearing the Solaris Ready logo, it also gives developers a model for building more solid products -- decreasing development time and costs.
