DAVIS, Calif., Aug. 31, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Since the arrival of industrialization, the natural scheme of the world has been altered drastically by human civilization to the point of uncertainty. In today's global economy, the need to preserve our natural environment and resources has gotten greater than ever and it is about time that mankind must sacrifice consumption and economic interests in order to take action on repairing the damage mother nature has suffered. With the release of his astonishing new book Nature Needs Us, author Walter E. Howard presents his detailed analysis and recommendations in regards to saving our world.
Nature Needs Us is required reading for anyone interested in an in-depth analysis of why nature needs our help in human-altered environments. It presents a broad perspective of nature and will stimulate the reader to think more deeply about his or her personal views and convictions on what is ethically right or wrong concerning nature's life-death ethic in current events. It is specially written for anyone interested in nature, and is ideally suited for undergraduate college courses either as a stand-alone text or as a supplemental resource. All concepts are clearly explained. Interestingly, the book has a list of relevant questions for most chapters, which serves as a review. Last but not least, readers will discover a useful thirty-two page glossary of terms, an index and an extensive bibliography.
