ATLANTA, Sept. 6, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Phil Theodore has joined John H. Harland Company (NYSE:JH) as Senior Vice President and General Counsel, effective September 5, 2006. He replaces John Walters who is retiring in early 2007.
In his new position, Theodore will report to Timothy C. Tuff, Harland's chairman and chief executive officer, and will be responsible for all of Harland's legal and corporate governance activities.
Theodore brings almost 30 years of legal experience to Harland, most recently as Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for Serologicals Corporation prior to its acquisition by Millipore Corporation earlier this year. He joined Serologicals in 2004 after a 22-year career with King & Spalding LLP, where he specialized in mergers, acquisitions, corporate governance and corporate finance.
"We're delighted to have someone of Phil's caliber join Harland's management team," said Tuff. "His experience in corporate law will be a tremendous asset as we continue to grow the company."
