Kronos Partner to Introduce Tree Air Purification Device At International Symposium on Epidemiology and the Preventive Maintenance of Intra-Hospital Infections

Kronos-Powered Tree Air Purification Device Will be On Exhibit At the Moscow Exhibition on Diagnoses, Treatment and Prophylactics in Medicine October 10 - 12

BELMONT, Mass., Oct. 5, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Kronos Advanced Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB:KNOS), announced today that the Tree(tm) air purification device, designed and manufactured by Kronos' strategic partner in Russia, EOL LLC, will be introduced at the International Symposium on Epidemiology and the Preventive Maintenance of Intra-Hospital Infections, which is being held in conjunction with the Moscow Exhibition on Diagnoses, Treatment and Prophylactics in Medicine from October 10 - 12, 2006.

Along with EOL's demonstration of Tree(tm) air purification devices at the Exhibition, Dr. V. G. Yuzbashev, Lead Researcher Disinfection Research Institution Laboratory of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, will present his paper "The Technology and Equipment for Air Disinfection in Hospitals." His paper will include a comparison of technologies to disinfect intra-hospital infections while explaining the benefits of the Kronos-based Tree(tm) air purification device. In conjunction with his talk, he will present a Tree(tm) device.

The introduction of the Tree(tm) at the Symposium follows on the recent release of a clinical study showing the effectiveness of the Tree(tm) air purification device in decontaminating hospital rooms of airborne bacteria and mildew, including the bacteria Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) which recently has become known as a major cause of hospital-acquired infections. The study further concluded that the Tree(tm) air purification device is safe to use while patients are present.

Dr. Yuzbashev is the lead researcher who conducted the December 2005 and May 2006 testing of the Kronos technology and the August 2006 testing of the Tree(tm) air purification device in conjunction with the Russian Research Institute of Medical Equipment's certification of the Tree(tm) air purification device. He also co-authored with Dr. Igor Krichtafovitch, Kronos Air Technologies' Chief Technology Officer, the article "Ion Wind Apparatuses Application for Air Cleaning and Decontamination."
