The need for a more aligned global IT service platform, along with growth within the corporate family, have led Amer Sports to continue to develop its corporate IT strategy. As a result, two new Nordic IT functions will be established.
Beginning in January 2007, Amer Sports Nordic Area IT services will be managed through two specific functions:
IT INFRASTRUCTURE SUPPORT NORDIC
This function will provide IT Infrastructure support (including PC support) for Suunto headquarters, Nordic Area sales organizations (AS Denmark, AS Finland, AS Norway and AS Sweden) as well as Amer Sports headquarters. The team will include IT/PC support specialists and will be led by an IT Infrastructure Manager reporting to Alain Petit. This function will be based in Helsinki, servicing the Nordic Area in close co-operation with the Global IT Infrastructure team.
SAP SUPPORT NORDIC
This function will concentrate on providing SAP support for the Nordic Area and will be based in Helsinki, reporting to Stefan Schubert and working closely with the EMEA and Global SAP support teams based in Munich.
These newly-aligned functions will enable better and more focused IT service for all Nordic Area clients and for on-going as well as future projects.
NEXT STEPS
Nominations to the IT/PC support specialist positions will be announced in due course. The application process for new manager positions (IT Infrastructure & SAP support) will begin shortly and are expected to be completed by the end of November 2006.
