LE MARS, Iowa, Oct. 25, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Wells' Dairy, Inc. conducted a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Wednesday, October 25, 2006, at 1:30 p.m. to celebrate the opening of their new Corporate Center in Le Mars.
Officials from Wells' Dairy, the Le Mars Area Chamber of Commerce, the Le Mars Business Initiative Corporation (LBIC), Plymouth County and the City of Le Mars delivered comments as part of the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony.
"We're extremely excited and pleased to be in our new facility," said Gary Wells, CEO. "Today, we celebrate the culmination of two years of dedication by everyone involved in this project. This is a beautiful facility, one of which we can all be proud. It is quite fitting that we conduct our ribbon cutting at this time. On October 24, 1913, Fred H. Wells, Jr., my grandfather, signed a contract to start a milk business in Le Mars. I'm sure Fred would be extremely proud of where Wells' Dairy is today. I would like to thank everyone involved in bringing this project to fruition."
The Corporate Center's design blends with the natural topography of the northwest Iowa landscape, majestically overlooking Le Mars, Iowa. The rich history of Wells' Dairy and Le Mars has been captured within the walls of the Corporate Center, as the company has chosen to assign its 35 meeting rooms with names relevant to the history of Wells' Dairy and the community it has called home for 93 years. Each meeting room name highlights events, locations, and people that have played a significant role in the development of Wells' Dairy and the City of Le Mars. Wells' Dairy hopes that visitors' experiences at the new Corporate Center will be further enriched through this historical tribute.
Wells' Dairy offers a special invitation to residents of the region to attend a Public Open House event on Saturday, November 11, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Tours of the facility will be available during the event.
