EnviroLogix QuickTox(TM) Kit for Aflatoxin at 10 ppb Receives GIPSA Approval
| Source: EnviroLogix Inc.
PORTLAND, ME -- (MARKET WIRE) -- October 30, 2006 -- EnviroLogix Inc. announces that its newest
product, QuickTox Kit for Aflatoxin at 10 ppb, has now gained the USDA's
Grain Inspection Packers and Stockman's Administration (GIPSA) Certificate
of Performance.
This latest addition to the QuickTox family complements our kit for
Aflatoxin at 20 ppb, the first lateral flow test for aflatoxin on the
market, and the first certified by GIPSA.
Each kit provides a simple, dependable screening method for grain
segregation wherever speed and convenience are critical. The ability to
use the same sample extract for both tests allows elevators, terminals, and
processing plants to make quick decisions based on reliable results. And
the ethanol extraction eliminates safety and disposal issues associated
with other tests that are available with methanol extraction only.
QuickTox for Aflatoxin at 10 ppb gives an accurate "yes/no" result within 5
minutes, providing convenience where simplicity and speed are vital. Only
three easy steps: extract the sample in ethanol; dilute with water; drop in
a test strip. The results are read visually, and no filtering, incubation
time, or costly equipment is necessary.
The QuickTox Kit for Aflatoxin -- 10 ppb (Cat. No. AS 109 BG) is available
directly from EnviroLogix and its distributors worldwide. EnviroLogix
develops, manufactures and markets immunoassay diagnostic test kits
designed to detect genetically modified organisms (GMOs), mycotoxins in
grains, pathogens in plants, algal toxins in water, and pesticide residues
in water and food.
QuickTox is a trademark of EnviroLogix Inc.
