CGI North America, Inc. Introduces AltSource 34, an Innovative Solution to Create and Manage 34 Act Regulatory Reports

 CGI North America, Inc., a leading financial communications outsourcing
 firm, is revolutionizing the process of preparing and filing critical
  "34 Act" regulatory reports for corporations by launching AltSource
 34(tm) (www.AltSource34.com), an internet-based, self-service model
                 using the Microsoft(r) Office Suite.

JERSEY CITY, N.J., Nov. 1, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- CGI North America, Inc., an affiliate of The CGI Group and the United States' fourth largest financial printer, announced today that it has developed AltSource 34, the first-of-its-kind, single source, automated document solution for "34 Act" regulatory reports.

AltSource 34 is a self-service online solution utilizing advanced tools in the Microsoft(r) Office applications to enable corporations to create, edit, collaborate, EDGARize and convert their regulatory documents into every required output format from one single source document file, regardless of where they and their team are located. AltSource 34 does all of this efficiently, cost-effectively and reliably. The service requires no implementation, and includes a twenty-four hour support desk with technical, typesetting and EDGAR experts, to guide users through the process or step in and take over the creation and filing role of the user in a more traditional approach, if needed.

"When surveyed, those responsible for regulatory compliance communications have told CGI that the typesetting and EDGAR process related to the preparation of the Form 10-K, 10-Q and Notice of Annual Meeting can be daunting," stated David Klaiss, President and CEO of CGI North America. "Reliance on outside service providers, inconsistent revisions and unpredictable billing practices often result in delays, frustration and budget overruns. With compliance schedules compressing from 75 days to 60 this year for accelerated filers, the need for efficiency and process control is greater than ever, and we believe this solution addresses these issues and provides additional exciting tools to facilitate the process."

AltSource 34 is initially being released to a limited number of corporations for use and will be available for general release by the end of 2006. The system will allow for the creation and filing of forms 10-K, 10-Q and NPS. Section 16 forms and other commonly used forms are planned updates. AltSource 34 users will be notified via email when updates and additional forms become available.
