SAN JOSE, Calif., Nov. 2, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Titanium Group, Ltd. (OTCBB:TTNUF), a leading biometric and security solutions provider, today announced it has signed a contract to provide its ProAccess FaceGuard security solution to China Travel Service, Ltd (CTS), one of the largest travel agents in Hong Kong. China Travel Service has 40 branches in Hong Kong alone and another 21 branches overseas in 14 countries.
Titanium's ProAccess FaceGuard has been installed at CTS to provide the company with physical access control and security monitoring of its document storage center where highly confidential information of customers, such as traveling or identification credentials and permits, are being stored. Previously, CTS was utilizing a hand geometry system for security purposes but has decided to switch to ProAccess FaceGuard due to its superior performance. ProAccess FaceGuard provides a high degree of accuracy and speed. It also promotes greater convenience and ease of maintenance as face recognition technology requires no physical contact or usage.
"Since CTS is one of the leaders throughout China issuing travel permits, they have internal security restrictions for keeping travel documents highly confidential. This type of client is an ideal one for the types of products we offer at Titanium," said Dr. Johnny Ng, Chairman of Titanium Group, Ltd. "Many of our clients who experience our ProAccess FaceGuard product firsthand see just how effective and comprehensive it is. Often this leads them to completely overhauling their security operations with our superior biometric products."
Mr. Lai, Senior Manager of China Travel Service, Ltd, added, "We have found that the hand geometry system we have been using has problems with the hygiene of physical contact between the device and a large number of users. Also, the accuracy and sensitivity of the system has been affected as well due to wear and tear but with Titanium's ProAccess FaceGuard these types of problems are simply solved and we are able increase our security level to an even greater extent."
