Industry Ventures Closes $105 Million Fund IV

Firm's Fourth Fund Focuses on Secondary Venture Investments in Direct Portfolios and Limited Partnership Interests


SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- January 2, 2007 -- Industry Ventures, a leading secondary fund focused on venture capital investments, today announced the closing of its fourth fund, Industry Ventures Fund IV L.P., with $105 million of committed capital. In addition, the firm announced the formation of two co-investment partnerships with $15 million in committed capital. Industry Ventures Fund IV and its affiliates will continue the successful investment strategies of its predecessor funds including a focus on secondary investments in direct venture portfolios, limited partnership interests and special situation investments.

Industry Ventures Fund IV is scheduled to be invested over a period of approximately four years and is expected to contain a portfolio of 10 direct portfolios and 20 partnership interests ranging in size from $200,000 to $25 million each. The fund will be managed by a team of three principals and will be administered through the firm's offices in San Francisco.

Since its founding in 2000, Industry Ventures has invested in more than 10 direct portfolios and 15 limited partnership interests across the information-technology and healthcare markets. Past portfolios acquired include investments from Bowman Capital, EDS Ventures, Enron Broadband, Hollinger International, Infospace Venture Capital, Technology Funding and Williams Communications.
