Genette Eaton Named to BUILDER Magazine's 2006 Power On 50

HomeAid CEO Ranks 28th Among Publication's 50 Most Influential People in Home Building

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., Jan. 15, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- HomeAid, a leading national non-profit provider of housing for today's homeless, today announced that its CEO Genette Eaton was named to BUILDER Magazine's Power On 50, a list of the 50 most influential people in home building. Chosen by the publication's editorial staff, the Power On 50 list represents the top influencers in the home-building industry, defined as either "exerting considerable power" or "charging forward, creating opportunities, or redefining the boundaries of innovation."

Appearing in the December 2006 issue, Eaton's entry in the list cites her work in "healing the world" as well as her 20-year career in corporate management and addressing human rights efforts. As CEO of HomeAid, Eaton oversees a national board of directors that includes executive leadership from most of the high-production home builders in the U.S., including Beazer Homes USA, John Laing Homes, K. Hovnanian(r) Homes, Kimball Hill Homes, Lennar Corporation, Pardee Homes, Shea Homes, Standard Pacific Homes, Taylor Woodrow Homes, and Toll Brothers, among others. These builders are responsible for building many of the housing facilities that HomeAid provides for today's homeless.

"I am honored by this recognition and what it represents: the work that HomeAid has accomplished through the generosity of the building industry. I am humbled by the kindness of our builders and their trades, and I am proud and privileged to work in this industry that gives so much to others every single day," said Eaton. "Through our partners' generosity, HomeAid has been able to multiply every dollar donated two- to three-fold. With our builders, we have helped more than 60,000 children, women and men attain self-sufficiency."
