MASPETH, NY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- January 18, 2007 -- Sunline Express and Sun Logistics announced
that they have appointed Nick Romani President of both firms. An industry
veteran, Romani is currently laying the groundwork for increased revenue in
2007, and expects to continue his dedication and leadership to create a
win-win environment for both companies and their corresponding customers.
"Nick's appointment to President is well-deserved and a strategic move
designed to further strengthen our leadership positions in the logistics
and transportation industries," said Todd Breen, Chief Executive Officer.
"In the past two years as our Chief Operating Officer, Nick has built a
strong record of superior performance and shares our vision of exceptional
customer satisfaction, cost-competitive prices and bottom-line
responsibility."
Romani began his career in the transportation industry more than 25 years
ago as a traffic manager for a school supply company. During his tenure
there, he became familiar with the transportation industry and eventually
joined the field as a frontline supervisor for inbound shipments, then
outbound distribution. Working on "both sides of the fence" contributes to
Romani's ability to understand what customers require and how to provide
the quality service they deserve.
Over the years, Romani has worked at various transportation companies in
many capacities -- from sales, sales management and regional sales
management to dispatch and terminal operations. Prior to joining Sunline
Express/Sun Logistics, Romani served as director of terminal operations and
was responsible for sales, operations and labor at 14 Northeastern
terminals, in nine states.
"I feel privileged to have the opportunity to increase my leadership role,"
said Romani. "Both companies are well regarded in their respective fields,
and I'm excited about helping our firms continue to offer the premium
services with outstanding quality that our customers have come to expect."
