BURLINGTON, MA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- February 5, 2007 --Astaro Corporation, a leader in delivering unified threat management (UTM) security appliances, today announced the launch of the Astaro Managed Service Provider Program (Currently only available in the United States, Canada). The MSP program is an enhancement to the current award-winning Certified Partner Program. This new certified designation allows partners to participate in additional revenue opportunities including special licensing arrangements and management tools.

The Astaro Security Gateway integrates various security technologies that comprise a mix of best of breed, open source and commercial software covering all aspects of security including network (firewall, VPN and intrusion protection), Web security (spyware protection, virus protection for the Web and content filtering), and e-mail security (virus protection for email, email encryption, spam protection, and phishing protection).

Astaro MSP Program components: 

--  Usage-based pricing -- The Astaro Security Gateway software can be
    purchased on a per-user, per-month basis.
    
--  Flexible commitments -- The MSP can purchase the full suite of
    products for a client or just purchase one of three different modules.
    This allows the MSP to enter into client agreements at a lower cost with
    further revenue potential.
    
--  Product shifting between customers -- The MSP can move the Astaro
    Security Gateway Appliances and licenses between clients to accommodate
    growing companies and terminated contracts.
    
--  Built-in Scalability -- Astaro Command Center is included free as part
    of the MSP partner program. Astaro Command Center allows for centralized
    management of Astaro Security Gateway installations of more than five
    systems. It graphically provides an overview of the state of each device
    and critical security events. Management of very large numbers of Astaro
    Security Gateways is made an effortless process.
    
--  Conditions: Managed Service Providers must complete the Astaro MSP
    certification process in order to qualify for these additional services.
