Integrated Re-Branding Campaign for PPL GOLD Credit Union Garners Four Graphic Design Awards


ATLANTA, Feb. 5, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- As part of its annual American Graphic Design Awards competition, Graphic Design USA awarded Harland Financial Solutions' Marketing Services Business four awards for an integrated re-branding campaign it created on behalf of the $80 million-in-assets PPL GOLD Credit Union in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The awards were in three categories: branding, membership brochure and direct response campaign.

Graphic Design USA, a news magazine read by thousands of creative professionals, holds the American Graphic Design Awards competition annually. It is a nationwide contest that recognizes excellence in communication and graphic design.

PPL GOLD Credit Union sought a creative agency to update its brand and ensure uniformity across all member channels. The search marked the first time the institution undertook a branding project as a strategic initiative. After evaluating creative agencies, the credit union chose Harland Financial Solutions due to its originality and breadth of expertise in marketing services over all member touch-points.

The re-branding effort resulted in a new logo and image for the credit union. The new look was then applied to the credit union's brochures, Web site, print and direct mail communications. PPL GOLD was also provided with a style guide in order to ensure all in-house efforts fit within the new brand. The integrated program resulted in one award each for branding and membership brochure, and two awards for direct mail campaigns.
