Yesterday, 19 February 2007, the supervisory board of Saku Õlletehase AS accepted the resignation of Janno Veskimäe, the company's COO responsible for finance and logistics, who is leaving on 19 March 2007 and appointed as new CFO Inga Kuusik who joined the company on 19 February 2007. “I would like to thank Janno Veskimäe on behalf of Saku Õlletehase AS and BBH (the majority shareholder of Saku) for his dedication and notable contribution over the past five years. With his youthful enthusiasm and talent Janno has accomplished a lot both at BBH and Saku Õlletehase AS. We wish him every success in his future career,” said Saku's CEO and Chairman of Management Board Ireneusz Piotr Smaga. Commenting on his resignation, Janno Veskimäe said that the five years with BBH had been challenging, allowing him to test himself in the enhancement of group entities' operating efficiency in Ukraine, the Baltics and, during the past two years, at Saku Õlletehase AS. “After carefully considering opportunities in- and outside BBH, I believe that I am ready to continue my career elsewhere. Before moving on, I plan to take off a few months and spend it with my family. I'd like to use the opportunity and thank both the Saku and BBH teams for our common achievements,” he said. The new CFO Inga Kuusik is an experienced top executive with a strong international management background. For the past three years she was Finance and HR Director at Reemstma Kyrgyzstan OJSC, Imperial Tobacco Company in Kyrgyzstan. Ms Kuusik has a degree in economics from Tallinn Technical University and a diploma in psychology from Tartu University. In addition, she has an MBA from Estonian Business School. According to Mr Smaga, the personality, education and professional achievements of Inga Kuusik are impressive. “I am extremely glad that Inga has decided to join our team. The Estonian beverage market is well established, competitive and developing at a swift pace. Based on personal experience I can say that the local beverage industry provides abundant challenges also for managers of an international background,” he added. “After three years away from Estonia I am happy to be back and able to join the largest and most prestigious beer producer in Estonia,” remarked Ms Kuusik.
