BOCA RATON, Fla., Feb. 21, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Juniper Group, Inc. (OTCBB:JUNI) announced today the appointment of a new Advisor to the Board of Directors as part of the Company's growth plan released in December, 2006. Prior to the acquisition, Michael Calderhead spent six years as Vice President and COO of New Wave Communications Inc., which is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Juniper Group. He is currently in charge of all construction operations and project management for New Wave. Currently his time is shared between directing the overall business operations at the office in Franklin, Indiana and lending expertise to everyday construction in the field. Moving forward, Mr. Calderhead will be an Advisor to the Board's Strategic Planning Committee for developing and implementing new Juniper Group strategies designed to address the evolving broadband and wireless infrastructure services business. This will include the growth of new projects and targeting acquisitions.

Prior to Juniper Group and New Wave Communications, Mr. Calderhead was a construction manager for T-Mobile from 1998-2000 where he managed the build out of the first 160 sites for the network launch of T-Mobile in Indiana. Prior to that he was with Valcom Inc., in Indianapolis, IN from 1990-1998, where he was Operations Manager for tower construction, cellular and microwave radio installation. Mr. Calderhead received his initial training in the U.S. Marine Corps where he worked in Tower Construction HF, UHF, Microwave and Satellite installation and maintenance.
