Offshore teknologiselskapet emgs har søkt om opptak til notering av selskapets aksjer ved Oslo Børs, og selskapet vil fra og med i dag være underlagt informasjonsplikten som er beskrevet i børsforskriften § 5-1.
emgs er verdens ledende offshore teknologiselskap innen seabed logging, som er en teknologi som anvendes til å påvise olje og gass under havbunnen før boring gjennom bruk av elektromagnetisk bølger.
- Oljeselskapene står overfor en stadig større utfordring med å erstatte olje- og gassreservene utover den løpende produksjonen, og den såkalte reserveerstatningsgraden er fallende. Som en følge av dette er det avgjørende for oljeselskapene å øke funnsannsynlighet og redusere totale letekostnader, sier konsernsjef Terje Eidesmo.
I løpet av 2006 økte omsetningen i emgs med 167 prosent til 117,7 millioner dollar, sammenlignet med 44,0 millioner dollar i 2005. Driftsresultatet før avskrivninger (EBITDA) for fjoråret utgjorde 20,7 millioner dollar, tilsvarende en økning på 29,7 millioner fra 2005.
Det vil trolig bli tilbudt aksjer i både et offentlig tilbud i Norge og i en internasjonal plassering mot institusjonelle investorer. Detaljer rundt transaksjonen vil bli offentliggjort på et senere tidspunkt.
Goldman Sachs International er global coordinator for transaksjonen. ABG Sundal Collier, Goldman Sachs International og Lehman Brothers er joint bookrunners, mens Carnegie og DnB NOR Markets er co-lead managers i transaksjonen.
