WHY: Americans traveling to Canada, Mexico, Bermuda, South America, Central America and the Caribbean by air will need a passport for the first time this summer. Because this new requirement has created increased demand, passport processing is delayed and a new passport can take up to 10 weeks to arrive. WHAT: To help make it easier for travelers, the Auto Club will offer free passport photos for members in all of its offices throughout Southern California. Passport applications are also available in The offices, but the Auto Club does not process them. Each member is limited to one set of passport photos. WHEN: Wednesday, March 14, 2007, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. WHERE: All Auto Club offices in Southern California. Media in the Los Angeles area should go to the Burbank, 1111 W. Alameda, or Glendale, 1233 E. Broadway, offices. Note: Travel agents and members will be available for interviews. The event is part of the Auto Club's Member Appreciation Days. Members visiting offices will also be able to participate in sweepstakes for vacation packages.About the Auto Club: The Automobile Club of Southern California, the largest member of the AAA federation of motor clubs, has been serving Southern California since 1900.
