SSAB's subsidiary, Plannja, acquires specialist company in Småland Plannja AB has strengthened its position on the prefabricated construction market through the acquisition of the sheet and ventilation supplier, Steinwalls Plåt AB in Landsbro. The family-owned company, Steinwalls, possesses many years experience as a supplier to the single-family home industry. The company has 45 employees and sales in excess of SEK 80 million. - We are pleased today, says Plannja AB's president, Thomas Björk. Steinwalls possesses a solid reputation and is very skilled in both production for the prefabricated construction market and superior logistics solutions and will be an important complement to our business operations. As a consequence of the deal, Plannja, with its head office in Luleå, will have two subsidiaries in Småland; Plannja Siba AB in Järnforsen is already part of the Plannja Group. Steinwalls will continue to have its registered office in Landsbro with the same staffing and management as today. Thus, the same on-time delivery and service to existing customers will be retained. - We have doubled production and sales in only a few years.
