HOUSTON, May 10, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Transmeridian Exploration Incorporated (AMEX:TMY) reported a net loss of $15.5 million, or $0.17 per share, on net revenues of $7.1 million for the three months ended March 31, 2007, as compared to a net loss of $12.7 million, or $0.15 per share, on net revenues of $2.8 million for the three months ended March 31, 2006.
For the three months ended March 31, 2007, the company produced 316,164 barrels ("Bbls") of crude oil, or an average of 3,513 Bbls per day ("Bopd"), as compared to 103,848 Bbls, or an average of 1,154 Bopd, for the three months ended March 31, 2006. For the three months ended March 31, 2007, the company sold (by physical delivery to the purchaser) 266,437 Bbls of crude oil at an average price of $28.19 per Bbl, as compared to 99,491 Bbls of crude oil, at an average price of $30.05 per Bbl, for the three months ended March 31, 2006.
