I am pleased to announce that Michel Joulot has been appointed Sourcing Director at Amer Sports Sourcing Office in Hong-Kong and will report to undersigned. To initiate a smooth transition, Michel will start travelling frequently from June 1, 2007 onward to Hong-Kong and other locations and will effectively move to Hong-Kong as of September 1, 2007. Michel's role will be to take the Amer Sports Sourcing operations to the next level by integrating Amer Sports brands' Asian sourcing activities. Michel will take the leadership of all brand's Sourcing professionals based in Asian region and will work in close co-operation with global brand organizations and markets in order to implement the Amer Sports Sourcing strategy. Michel has worked within the Salomon group since 1988 in various positions, at the latest as the Head of Salomon Soft Goods Planning & Logistics. Prior to that he was the project leader for the integration within adidas sourcing organisation. I am confident that Michel with his experience and personality will be well positioned to take on this challenging assignment. I wish him the best of luck in this new role.
At the same time I would like to thank David Taylor, who as an interim Operations Director for Amer Sports Asian Sourcing, has implemented the first phase of the Amer Sports sourcing strategy in building up the administrative platform. David has left Hong-Kong during May month but will continue to support the Sourcing office remotely and ensure a smooth handover to Michel.
