Exterro Adopts Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) Framework for Workflow Processes Related to Discovery Management

The EDRM framework provides the legal industry with a strong blueprint, mapping the entire E-Discovery process from initial identification of relevant content to the final presentation of significant evidence. EDRM Metrics provides guidelines for how to measure associated costs, time and volumes in each stage of the discovery process: workflow identification, preservation, collection, processing, review, analysis, and production.

Starting with the original EDRM project in May 2005, the project now has over 108 member organizations include leading providers of electronic discovery related products and services, prominent law firms, and corporate counsel. Following the development of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model, the EDRM Metrics and the EDRM XML projects in 2006-2007, focused on improving consumers' and providers' ability to monitor and facilitate the e-discovery process. The 2007-2008 EDRM projects include EDRM Evergreen, keeping the Model current and relevant; EDRM Metrics 2 and EDRM XML 2, continuing to refine and enhance previous efforts; and a Code of Conduct for the electronic discovery industry.
