Nord Pool will launch PEAK contracts based on the Nordic system price to be listed on 12 June 2007. Lysaker, 29 May 2007 These contracts are launched to complement our product range and to enable customers in meeting their trading and hedging needs. PEAK contracts are settled against the average system price for all hours between 08.00 and 20.00 hours Monday to Friday, including National holidays. PEAK contracts will include weeks, months, quarters and nearest year. The time horizon for the contracts listed will be five weeks, two months, three quarters and one year. All contracts will be cash settled as forwards, with the exception of weeks which will be settled as futures. These instruments will have a ticker code that starts with the following prefix ENOPL (Energy NOrdic Peak Load). Vattenfall AB will be market maker for the above contracts.
