Northrop Grumman Names John Brooks Vice President of International Business Development


EL SEGUNDO, Calif., May 29, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) has appointed John Brooks to the position of vice president of international business development and president of Northrop Grumman International Inc.

Brooks will report to Bill Schaefer, sector vice president of business development for the company's Integrated Systems sector. He brings extensive experience in international relations from a decorated career in the U.S. Air Force.

In his new role, Brooks will be responsible for business development of the sector's international programs, including E-2C, Advanced Hawkeye, Global Hawk, NATO Alliance Ground Surveillance (AGS), Joint STARS, Fire Scout, Hunter, F-35, and F/A-18.

Brooks joined Northrop Grumman in 2000 and most recently served as director of business development for the company's Washington D.C. office and for its Air Force and Air National Guard programs. He played a critical role in meeting Department of Defense acquisition and congressional challenges, resolving competing priorities, and reprioritizing the tasking of the Washington office and field personnel.

Before joining Northrop Grumman, Brooks spent 28 years in the Air Force, retiring as major general and special assistant to the chief of staff. He earned a bachelor's degree from Roanoke College and a master's degree from Central Michigan University. He is also a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at the University of Illinois and the National Security Program at Harvard University.
