NCC-owned Anjobygg to construct arena in Halmstad for SEK 315 million

NCC-owned Anjobygg is to build the new arena in Halmstad. The client is Halmstad
Municipality, which has entered into a partnering agreement with Anjobygg. The
order is worth SEK 315 million.

The new multi-purpose arena will be linked together with the existing swimming
and ice-skating facility in Sannarp, and will replace the sports hall at
Badhusparken, which is 50 years old.
“This is the largest individual investment ever made by Halmstad Municipality,
and we are gratified by the trust being shown in us. The arena will be suitable
for both cultural and sporting activities and will have the capacity for 5,000
spectators,” says Göran Svensson, President of Anjobygg.

Work will commence during the autumn and the inauguration of the arena is
scheduled for the end of 2009. At most, approximately 100 people will be
employed in the project.

The assignment will be registered among orders during the second quarter of
2007.

Partnering is a structured form of cooperation, whereby the client, consultants
and contractors jointly undertake a construction assignment. The method is based
on open and trusting cooperation, in which the professional expertise of all the
parties concerned complement each other during all parts of the project.
