LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwire - July 13, 2007) - Luxor, a wholly owned subsidiary of MGM
MIRAGE (NYSE : MGM ), one of the most iconic resorts on the Las Vegas Strip, today announced a
multi-phase enhancement plan designed to revolutionize the resort and bring
new energy to the south end of the Las Vegas Strip. Luxor is partnering with industry leaders
to bring exciting new restaurant, nightclub and entertainment amenities to
the property.
The evolution is slated to take place in several phases, with Phase One
encompassing the casino level where major renovations and additions are
already underway, including the much talked-about nightclub LAX Las Vegas and the
provocative CatHouse restaurant and lounge. Phase one will culminate with
the launch of the new Cirque du Soleil production featuring the illusions
of Criss Angel.

Projects in Phase One of Luxor's evolution:
-- Aurora - Luxor unveiled the new era with Aurora, an inviting 157-seat
lounge that brings the Aurora Borealis, or Northern Lights, to life with a
dynamic landscape designed by Japanese design firm Super Potato. The
lounge, open 24 hours a day, features signature martinis, mojitos and
margaritas along with an assortment of contemporary cocktails, wine, beer
and a premium selection of non-alcoholic beverages. Aurora also offers
European bottle service, wine service and martinis poured tableside.
Located in the lobby directly across from the front desk, Aurora serves as
the new face of Luxor creating a welcoming atmosphere and glimpse of things

-- LAX Nightclub Las Vegas-
One of L.A.'s hottest nightclubs lights up Luxor with star power courtesy
of celebrity investors DJ AM and Christina Aguilera. From the creators of
PURE Nightclub, LAX Las Vegas will combine the best of its Los Angeles
namesake with the energy and excitement that only Pure Management Group can
create. Catering to a sophisticated Hollywood crowd, LAX will be the
destination of choice for discriminating club-goers, A-list celebrities and
the social jet set. The intimate surroundings and incomparable DJ line-up
will have nightlife aficionados itching to catch a glimpse of Las Vegas'
newest hotspot. With polished hip décor created by chic Los Angeles
designer Thomas Schoos, LAX Las Vegas will transform the space formerly

-- Noir Bar - Pure Management Group
brings an all-new style of nightlife to Las Vegas with Noir Bar, an
ultra-exclusive nightspot designed to cater only to the most elite
clientele. While a part of Luxor's new nightlife scene, Noir's main
entrance will be outside of the resort providing patrons private access to
the venue without having to step foot on the casino floor. Reminiscent of
a modern speakeasy, only those fortunate enough to get on the elite guest
list will be allowed entrance through Noir's secret passageway into the
stunning candle-lit bar layered in rich leathers and gleaming crystals.
An intimate spot where guests can enjoy European bottle service, sip
specialty drinks created tableside and sample scrumptious desserts from an
antique-style French dessert cart, Noir Bar caters exclusively to the
high-end club customer looking for a truly exclusive nightlife experience.

-- Company - The third restaurant from nightlife and dining pacesetters
Pure Management Group, Company will reinvent the concept of the American
Bistro. Encompassing more than 10,000 square feet, the restaurant will
feature a fireside lounge surrounded by aspen trees and hurricane lamp
candles, a state-of-the-art wine room and a uniquely American menu. A team
of talented chefs brought in from some of the most famous restaurants in
the world will create a menu of tantalizing American entrees where patrons
will have the luxury of customizing their meal from top to bottom.
Selections of fresh fish and prime cuts of meat will serve as the canvas
and then it's up to the customer to choose the rest, from cooking style to
sides. With celebrity investors Nicky Hilton, Nick Lachey and Wilmer
Valderrama, Company will create a fine-dining experience that is trendy yet
comfortable. Located next to LAX, Company will come to life through the
handiwork of acclaimed New York-based design firm AvroKO. This is
the second project in Las Vegas for AvroKO, which has a strong reputation
for designing stylish, state-of-the-art restaurants and residential

-- Flight - Luxor prepares for take-off with Flight, a new bar opening
adjacent to LAX. Designed by Thomas Schoos to carry LAX's unique design
onto the casino floor, Flight will offer a 40-seat lounge as well as a full
bar serving the latest in premium cocktails, beer, wine and non-alcoholic
selections. (Opens Fall 2007)
-- CatHouse - A relaxed, sexy restaurant and European ultra lounge,
CatHouse is a modern interpretation of a 19th century French bordello, with
voyeuristic visual elements and provocatively attired staff. Executive
Chef Kerry Simon has created an eclectic menu featuring small, tapas-style
plates that will create an interactive dining experience, making it an
excellent choice for both large groups as well as couples. The atmosphere
in the dining room will be sultry with low-light chandeliers, tufted fabric
walls and a cobalt blue color scheme, while the ultra lounge portion of the
venue is a predominantly red room, designed to create an intimate,
seductive, yet elegant setting that will make every customer feel like a
VIP. Elevated platforms throughout the venue will feature sexy performers
modeling CatHouse's own line of lingerie while performing choreographed
vignettes. Located in the spot formerly occupied by Isis and the Sacred

-- Luxor Steak House - Designer Thomas Schoos will add a touch of safari to
Luxor with the remodeled Luxor Steak House. Featuring deep chocolate
browns, rich dark leather and animal prints, the designer will bring the
outdoors in through an approachable new design. While beef will remain the
main focus, the new menu also will feature fresh seafood, veal and lamb,
offering the finest ingredients from small family farms and specialty
Artisan sources. (Open March 2008)
-- Liquidity - Super Potato brings water to life with Liquidity. Located
in the center of Luxor's trademark pyramid, Liquidity will feature a bar
and three separate lounge areas draped in water. Using cutting-edge
technology, Liquidity's one-of-a-kind design will center on a projection
system that uses water as a canvas. With a modern, sleek design Liquidity
will become a focal point for the remodeled casino floor. (Opens Fall 2007)
-- Casino Floor - The water theme of Liquidity will flow out onto the
casino floor with new carpet, wall coverings, wave-patterned columns and
alluring light fixtures all in varying shades of cool blues and vibrant
purples and plums. Custom-designed ergonomic slot bases and chairs will
provide a hip, contemporary look and feel, mirroring the dynamic energy of
the new casino floor venues. (Completed May 2008)
-- Restore Pool Lounge - Taking the personal service and luxurious
offerings of Luxor outside, the recently opened Restore Pool Lounge offers
guests 21 years of age and older a spa-like sanctuary. Sleek chaises,
cabanas and daybeds provide a plush lounging environment where amenities
such as iced towels and frozen fruit slices ensure guests an upscale pool

-- Cirque
du Soleil (previously announced) - Luxor will partner with Cirque du
Soleil to reinvent the traditional magic show with renowned illusionist
Criss Angel. Slated to open in a custom theater, Cirque du Soleil is
working with Angel to fuse his revolutionary illusions and mind-blowing
artistry with acrobatics, dance, puppetry, music and poetry to tell a
story, taking audiences on a bizarre and fascinating journey. (Opens Summer

In 2008, Luxor's second phase of evolution will encompass changes to the
property's signature atrium and galleria areas including several retail
changes, a re-branded coffee shop and new buffet. The third phase will
focus on room remodeling and is planned to begin in 2009.
