APEX Management Group Appoints Shane Byrne Director of Healthcare Informatics

PRINCETON, NJ--(Marketwire - July 25, 2007) - APEX Management Group, a division of
Gallagher Benefit Services, Inc., announced today that Shane Byrne has
joined the firm as director of healthcare informatics. APEX is a
consulting and insurance services organization that specializes in
actuarial, underwriting, claims management and audit services.
In his new position, Byrne will lead the firm's healthcare data initiatives
including claims analysis, data mining, quality measurement, data
warehousing and provider profiling, and will contribute to the ongoing
development of the firm's data analysis products and tools. He will be
based in Las Vegas.
Byrne has extensive experience in healthcare information technology and
analytics. Prior to joining APEX, he administered two analytic/business
intelligence divisions as director of analytics with HealthDataInsights and
DataXCorp where he had responsibility for developing and maintaining
strategic business intelligence solutions, services, and product
development for internal and external clients. Byrne also held lead
analytics positions with HEREIU Culinary Welfare Fund and the Executive
Branch of State of Montana. He earned a B.A. degree in economics from the
University of Montana.
