TOLEDO, Ohio, Aug. 10, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- As the debate for an exit date out of Iraq, the war on terror, and strategies for an end to global warming intensifies, author Kathi Harris spins a spellbinding tale that lifts us out of this quagmire and ends all the contention.
In a chaotic world where conflict, greed and antipathy threatens to send us over the brink to self-destruction, a big change is coming -- one that will determine the fate of the planet and all of humankind.
It is during the 21st century that aliens arrive and deliver a terrifying ultimatum to mankind. "You will change or you will die," they said. With these seven words, life on earth is transformed, and with that judgment, humans live in fear of imprisonment, isolation and much worse.
But a beacon of hope shines through a young girl named Lark, an unlikely heroine with Down's syndrome and gifted with extraordinary abilities. As she makes a heartfelt plea on behalf of humankind, she sets in motion a series of events that will almost paralyze the planet and its inhabitants. Lark, her Jamaican immigrant family, and an international cast of characters, take the reader on an incredible journey in this amazing tale that asks many questions. The most important of these questions being: will we survive this new century? Will we survive this first confrontation with aliens?
