Village Profile's Exclusive R.S.V.P. Chamber Scholarships Help Execs Stay Ahead of the Learning Curve

ELGIN, Ill., Aug. 14, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- An exciting new Chamber Scholarship program, offered exclusively by Village Profile, gives participating Chambers of Commerce additional royalties in the form of reimbursement to Chamber Executive Directors or staff members who attend a certified Chamber Institute class or industry-related state, regional or national conference-sponsored class; even college-level courses that advance the Chamber mission.

The R.S.V.P. Scholarship Program(tm) is available to all Chambers of Commerce that sign a three-edition agreement with Village Profile to publish, AT NO COST to the Chamber, membership directories, community profiles, maps, and Lifestyle magazines. Chambers receive a credit equivalent to one percent of paid ad sales on each of the three editions, and are reimbursed with proof of course registration and completion. The program is open to the Chamber Executive Director and any member of the Chamber staff.

Having already paid out more than $15 million in royalties to Chambers of Commerce -- $10 million in the last six years -- Village Profile and its Chamber customers can continue to promote and strengthen the Chamber industry, thus strengthening the business base and economic vitality of large and small communities alike. Village Profile not only serves the Chamber industry, but supports it, too.

Village Profile's Convergence Publishing Program(tm) has been successful in building awareness among Chambers across the U.S. of how a traditional print publication can reach a worldwide audience on multiple digital platforms, the Internet, eBooks, CDs and searchable online business directories.

As Richard "Mick" Fleming, President of the American Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) put it, "One of Village Profile's keys to success has been the early embrace of technology, including the Internet (when most of us had barely heard of it) and now the converging technologies of cell phones, membership database software, the Internet, and other IT developments."
