About the Author

Shelby Lloyd was raised at Masonic Home for Children, which is an orphanage in Oxford, NC. She graduated from high school and then moved to Raleigh, NC to start a career. She had no means for college so she went to work. She married Donald, and they have been married for fifty years. They raised three children who graduated from college and are professionals in their field. She enjoys reading and uses the library to the fullest. She also buys books from a book club each month. She likes classical and jazz music and she listens to it every day. She's very involved in her church and she enjoys meeting new people who join. She loves to cook and collect cookbooks. She watches little TV but she enjoys the Food Network. Her children live near by, so she can spend time with them whenever the time is right. She also spends as much time with her eleven grandchildren as possible. They are her joy, and she enjoys watching them grow. Her grandson plays golf for UNC Wilmington, and she tries to watch as many games as she can.

Shelby Lloyd is a retiree, and this is her first novel but there are more on the way.
