Rautaruukki Oyj Press Release September 10 2007 at 12.45 RAUTARUUKKI INCLUDED IN DOW JONES STOXX SUSTAINABILITY INDEX Rautaruukki has been included in the Dow Jones STOXX Sustainability Index. The index includes leading European companies in terms of sustainable development. Companies are included in the index on the basis of an annual assessment. Launched in 1999, the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI World) is the first global index to track sustainability. The STOXX Index in the Dow Jones index family that Rautaruukki has been included in was launched in 2001 to track the sustainability performance of European companies. A total of 17 new companies were included on the Dow Jones STOXX Sustainability Index. At the same time, 22 companies already in the index were excluded. In addition to Rautaruukki, six other Finnish companies were included on the index. The selection of companies to be included in the index is based on a strict analysis that assesses a company's financial, social and environmental performance.
