The boards of directors of Statoil ASA (STL, NO0010096985) and Norsk Hydro ASA (NHY, NO0005052605) have approved a merger where shareholders of Norsk Hydro will receive 0.8622 shares of Statoil for each Norsk Hydro share that they own and will also continue to be owners of the Norsk Hydro shares that they currently own. Due to the merger VINX30 and VINX Benchmark will be adjusted in accordance to the “Rules for the Construction and Maintenance of the VINX All-share, Sector, Benchmark and Tradable Indices” rule 5.8. The adjustment is set to take effect from start on the ex-day October 1, 2007, by adding (0.8622*Number of NHY shares in index) to the STL number of shares in index and adjusting the opening price in Norsk Hydro applying the following formula:
