EMGS today announced that Mr. Roar Bekker is employed in a new position as Chief Operating Officer (COO) in EMGS. Mr. Bekker will be in charge of most of the daily operations and will be reporting to CEO Terje Eidesmo.
Roar Bekker is a Norwegian citizen with a strong technical background and extensive international management experience. He comes from the position as Vice President Industry Affairs for Schlumberger Norway.
Bekker holds a masters degree in geophysics from University of Oslo. Bekker has spent the last 23 years in Schlumberger in assignments throughout the world. He has an extensive experience as an international leader and geophysicist from places like Houston, Singapore, Dubai and London.
