Huhtamaki's Cyclero® wins German Packaging Award 2007

The first Cyclero beverage application 'Drinkbax' has won the German Packaging Award 2007. Drinkbax is manufactured for Jung Bonbonfabrik and it is the first beverage application on the flexible packaging market.

Huhtamaki's Cyclero for Drinkbax was awarded the German Packaging Award 2007 at Fachpack trade fair held in September in Nuremberg, Germany. The German Packaging Competition is an annual contest organized by the German Packaging Institute to evaluate innovative ideas in packaging.

This is already the second award for the innovative Cyclero packaging concept. Earlier this year another Cyclero application - Amaroy coffee pads for Aldi Süd - was awarded the Alufoil Trophy 2007.

Drinkbax is a revolution on the flexible packaging market

The interesting haptic properties of the soft Cyclero pack enable the consumer to feel the freshness of the product directly. The lightweight packaging is easy to carry and dispose of and it has an outstanding life cycle analysis performance. It has high barrier properties and therefore provides optimal product protection combined with minimum material input. The product can be pasteurized or sterilized to guarantee a long shelf life.

Cyclero is produced on a form, fill and seal machine from Laudenberg Verpackungsmaschinen, Wipperfürth, the ultrasonic sealing equipment is from Herrmann Ultraschalltechnik, Karlsbad.

Cyclero will be presented also at Brau Beviale in Nuremberg, Germany in November 14-16. Please visit Huhtamaki's stand 323 in Hall 4 and experience the revolution personally!
