DENVER, CO--(Marketwire - October 12, 2007) - Dean Evans & Associates, Inc. (www.dea.com)
today announced its inclusion on Software Magazine's (www.softwaremag.com)
Software 500 ranking of the world's largest software and service providers.
Now in its 25th year, the Software 500 is a revenue-based ranking of the
world's largest software and services suppliers targeting medium to large
enterprises, their IT professionals, software developers and business
managers involved in software and services purchasing.
Dean Evans & Associates, which develops the EMS line of facility scheduling
and online calendar software, was ranked 437 in the recently completed
evaluation. The company also made the Top 10 for growth within its revenue
segment with a 96.9% growth rate.
"The 2007 Software 500 results show that growth in the software and
services industry was healthy from 2006 to 2007, the ranking year. The
industry continues to be dynamic with more than 98 new companies on the
list this year for the first time," says John P. Desmond, editor of
Software Magazine and Softwaremag.com.
"We're honored to have earned a place in the Software 500 and a spot in the
Top 10 for growth in our segment," says Sean Mulvey, director of sales for
Dean Evans & Associates. "Much of the increase can be attributed to
tremendous growth in sales to the corporate market in the last few years,
as companies of all sizes have embraced better room and resource management
strategies, including facility scheduling and office hoteling."
"The Software 500 helps CIOs, senior IT managers and IT staff research the
short list of business partners," Desmond says. "It is a quick reference of
vendor viability."
The ranking is based on total worldwide software and services revenue for
2006. This includes revenues from software licenses, maintenance and
support, training and software-related services and consulting. Suppliers
are not ranked on their total corporate revenue, since many have other
lines of business, such as hardware. The financial information was gathered
by a survey prepared by King Content Co. and posted at www.Softwaremag.com,
as well as from public documents.
