Virgin America Launches Service Between Washington Dulles and LAX

America's Newest Airline Connects the Nation's Capital and the World's Entertainment Capital With Twice Daily Flights for Less

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 24, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Virgin America today launches twice daily service from Washington Dulles to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Guests on the first flights should expect some typical Virgin America-style fun at the ticket counters and departure gates, with Virgin America teammates decked out in costume as our Founding Fathers at LAX and as Hollywood celebrities to welcome guests at Washington Dulles.

"We're thrilled to be able to inject some new competition into the market by offering a fun and different kind of flying experience for LA-DC travelers," said Fred Reid, Chief Executive Officer of Virgin America. "We're proud to offer the most advanced inflight entertainment system in the U.S. with satellite TV, 25 movies and internet access coming later next year, plugs for your electronic gear and custom-designed leather seats -- all for incredibly attractive fares."

Virgin America is offering Washington Dulles-LAX fares starting at $139* one way in Main Cabin and $449** one way in First Class. Virgin America flights to and from Washington Dulles have conveniently-timed morning and evening departures.

Virgin America now offers the following city pairs: SFO-JFK; SFO-Washington Dulles; SFO-LAX; LAX-JFK; SFO-LAS; and LAX-Washington Dulles.
