ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwire - October 25, 2007) - Document Technologies, Inc. (DTI), the nation's
largest independent provider of legal support services and document
outsourcing, today announced the company's recent recognition in two
well-known industry surveys. In the 2007 AmLaw Tech Survey, DTI was ranked
by users among the industry's top 10 electronic discovery services
providers. And in August, DTI was included with the industry's most
prominent electronic discovery service leaders by placing in the top 20
"Overall Service Providers" in the fifth annual Socha-Gelbmann Electronic
Discovery Survey.
In the 2007 AmLaw Tech Survey, DTI ranked ninth in response to the
question, "What electronic evidence data discovery vendors does the firm
use?" 22 percent of survey respondents who answered this question included
DTI among vendors used by the firm, an increase of five percent from the
results of the same question in the 2006 AmLaw Tech Survey.
In their survey results this year, industry consultants George Socha and
Thomas Gelbmann report that the e-discovery market has reached $2 billion,
and they state they expect it to more than double by 2009. DTI has made
considerable investments in its Discovery Solutions Group to increase their
capacity and enhance the services offered to both law firm and corporate
clients.
"We are pleased to again be recognized as a leading electronic discovery
services provider in these two significant annual surveys. Both are
conducted by well-respected industry experts and have earned reputations
for offering a sound perspective of the state of the legal technology
market," said John Davenport Jr., chief executive officer of Document
Technologies, Inc. "Achieving this type of recognition further validates
DTI's commitment to the ongoing investment in our Discovery Solutions
Group," he continued.
The Socha-Gelbmann survey researches the use of EDD services and software,
with service provider rankings based on seven key factors including
experience and reputation, capacity, types of services offered, software
usage, law firm ranking, corporate rankings, and revenue. In their 2006
survey, DTI ranked among the top five service providers based on capacity,
and ranked in the top ten for both the processing and analysis stages of
electronic discovery.
