eQ BANK RAISES ITS PRIME RATE

The Board of eQ Corporation's subsidiary, eQ Bank Ltd, has decided to raise the
eQ Prime interest rate by 0.25 percentage points to 4.25 per cent as of January
2, 2008. 

After the change, the effective annual interest rate on eQ's deposit account
varies between 2.20 and 3.50 per cent, depending on the account balance.
