New In-Flight Entertainment Surprises Unveiled for Guests On Holiday Flights


SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 25, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- In the spirit of the season, Virgin America today began offering holiday travelers a host of new and free entertainment features on the airline's flights to L.A., New York, San Francisco, Washington D.C. and Las Vegas. In addition to the 25 movies, live TV, games, Google Maps and 3,000 MP3s regularly available through the Red(tm) interactive entertainment system at each seatback, Virgin America is now offering guests free premium TV and an updated in-flight entertainment line-up.

FREE PREMIUM TV ON HOLIDAY FLIGHTS: Virgin America's guests will now be able to watch the latest in premium TV content for free for the holidays. Red(tm) features the hottest premium TV content, from Showtime's The Tudors and Dexter to special episodes of The Office, My Name is Earl, 30 Rock and Heroes -- all featured for free on Virgin America flights.

GRAMMY-NOMINATED ARTIST AUDIO CHANNEL: The music line-up on Red(tm) gets even more current in time for the 2008 Grammys, with an exclusive audio channel profiling Grammy-nominated artists like Nelly Furtado, Amy Winehouse, The Beastie Boys, U2, Green Day, Paul McCartney, Kanye West and Bruce Springsteen. Guests on Virgin America can create their own personal playlist from more than 3,000 MP3 tracks on board.
