FieldTurf is Once Again the Official Turf of the Super Bowl's 'NFL Experience'

PHOENIX, Jan. 17, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- FieldTurf will once again be the official turf at the Super Bowl's "NFL Experience Built By The Home Depot," which will be held from January 26-February 2 near Phoenix, the site of Super Bowl XLII. This marks the tenth consecutive year that FieldTurf has been the NFL's exclusive turf supplier for the "NFL Experience Built By The Home Depot," which is one of the most widely attended special events of the NFL calendar. More than two million fans have attended since its inception in 1992.

The "NFL Experience Built By The Home Depot" is pro football's interactive theme park offering participatory games, displays, entertainment attractions, kids' clinics, free autograph sessions and the largest football card show ever. This year, the "NFL Experience Built By The Home Depot" will be set up adjacent to the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, AZ. The NFL will utilize FieldTurf in three key areas at the "NFL Experience Built By The Home Depot." A FieldTurf football field will be set up for all clinics and instructional activities during the "NFL Experience Built By The Home Depot." FieldTurf will also be in use for all outdoor kicking areas and at the League's "Run to Daylight" display.

"It's a great thing for us at FieldTurf to again be associated with the NFL and with the 'NFL Experience Built By The Home Depot,' which is perhaps the greatest and most popular football fan attraction in existence," said FieldTurf Tarkett CEO David Moszkowski. "From our annual activities at the 'NFL Experience Built By The Home Depot,' to being the Official Game Turf for Super Bowl XL to having 21 League teams currently using our product, we are very proud of our longstanding relationship with the NFL and with its member clubs. It has been an amazing and gratifying experience for everyone at FieldTurf, and we look forward to continuing the relationship for many years to come."

Every-other-year, the NFL Players Association releases the results of its polling of all League players who are asked to rank the NFL's 31 stadium surfaces. In the most recent results (January 2007), the NFL's players once again tabbed FieldTurf as the runaway leader among all artificial turf brands. In addition, FieldTurf compared extremely favorably to the league's natural grass surfaces. Overall, FieldTurf placed four fields in the NFL's top ten, a feat that had never previously been accomplished by any brand in the annals of artificial turf. In addition, FieldTurf boasted seven of the top eight artificial turf fields cited in the NFLPA survey.

FieldTurf Tarkett is the largest entity in the sports surfacing industry and provides unparalleled leasing capabilities, engineering and manufacturing resources.
