Teague Appoints New Creative Director

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwire - January 30, 2008) - Seattle-based design firm, Teague, recently
named Tadeo Toulis as its new creative director of its Product Studio.
Toulis will manage and mentor the design staff and its processes to ensure
design excellence, effectively building the Teague brand while motivating,
inspiring and leading the design team.
"A creative director is, in essence, the creative soul of a studio," said
John Barratt, President and CEO of Teague. "Tad is a cultural builder who
will help set the tone for product studio activities."
Toulis brings with him a wealth of experience including several years as
the lead industrial designer at Motorola, Inc.'s advanced concepts group
and two years as design manager at Samsung Telecommunications. In 1996 and
1997, Toulis conducted independent research as a Fulbright Scholar in
Milan, Italy. During that time he was affiliated with the Politecnico in
Milan and was a visiting artist at the American Academy in Rome.
Prior to joining Teague, Toulis also worked as a senior industrial designer
at Lunar Design in San Francisco. In 2000 Toulis founded design RAW a
design collective based in San Francisco, which explores universal issues
through design.
Toulis has lectured on design issues at several design conferences and
universities including the Aspen Design conference, as well as the National
and Educational Conferences of the IDSA. In addition to his lecturing, his
work has been recognized by awards from ID magazine, the IDSA and the iF
Awards (Hanover). His work has also appeared in numerous design magazines
and publications.
Raised in Manhattan, Toulis earned his master's degree in Industrial Design
from the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. He has a bachelor's degree
in English Literature and Studio Art from Wesleyan University, Connecticut.
