Experienced in Acquisitions and Unregulated Businesses

CLINTON, Conn., Jan. 31, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Connecticut Water (Nasdaq:CTWS) announced that Thomas R. Marston has been named Vice President - Business Development. Prior to his appointment, Mr. Marston had served as the Company's Vice President -- Treatment and Planning.

Eric W. Thornburg, Connecticut Water's President & CEO, states, "Growing our Company through acquisitions is a critical component of our strategy. I believe the time is right for Connecticut Water to have a dedicated high level leader, like Tom Marston, who is focused on identifying acquisition candidates and negotiating transactions that benefit customers and shareholders.
