Notice of Significant Shareholding
Powerflute Oyj (the "Company") received notice on 5 February 2008 that as of
that date Bacchantes Limited ("Bacchantes"), a company controlled by Sir
Michael Smurfit, the brother of Dermot Smurfit, Chairman of the Company,
increased his shareholding from 13,728,000 shares of no par value (“NPV”)
representing 15.60 per cent. to 15,253,000 shares of NPV in the Company
representing a 17.33 per cent. of the Company. Bacchantes acquired 1,525,000
shares of NPV in the Company on 4 February 2008 at a price of 49 pence per
share.
The Company's issued share capital at the date of making this announcement is
88,000,000 shares of NPV.
