LONG BEACH, Calif., Feb. 8, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Epson America Inc. is excited to announce its participation in the 2008 Craft & Hobby Association (CHA) Winter Convention and Tradeshow at the Anaheim Convention Center (booth #1851) in Anaheim, Calif., February 10-13, 2008.
For the first time, Epson is partnering with six top scrapbook companies including 7 Gypsies(r), Heidi Swapp(tm), Prima(tm), Creative Imaginations(tm), PCLayers(tm) and Avery(r), to deliver the best of digital and traditional scrapbooking. Specialty retailers will learn all they need to know about increasing their sales by offering hybrid classes in their businesses.
"Epson is thrilled to join with top-tier industry names at 2008 Winter CHA to educate the scrapbook community about the vast opportunity inherent with hybrid scrapbooking," said Barbara Kotsos, senior marketing manager, Epson America Inc. "As a digital imaging leader, Epson strives to deliver premier scrapbooking solutions. This year we're proud to be in the good company of our partners to demonstrate how digital and traditional methods together can produce inspiring results."
At the Epson booth, attendees will find eight work stations equipped with computers and the new Epson Stylus(r) Photo R1900 printer. Retailers are encouraged to bring their digital memory cards to make one of various scrapbook templates provided by partner vendors. Upon printing personalized 12"x12" digital scrapbook pages, participants are encouraged to visit partner booths to further personalize their projects with complementary embellishments.
Epson will extend special show offers, "Make 'n Take" projects and ice cream for those who stop by to get the "scoop" on how to profit with Epson's diverse digital products. Retailers who purchase the show special will also receive materials to conduct digital classes in their stores using the templates made at the Epson booth.
"As a purchase incentive, we will be giving away CDs containing templates and instructions to teach six different classes in retail stores," said Kotsos. "Retailers can build incremental revenue by offering different digital scrapbooking classes each month. Even more, retailers who make embellishments available to consumers can earn higher profits by encouraging return visits with hybrid activity."
Epson is dedicated to the scrapbooking market and offers its Epson CreativeZone(sm) Web site (www.EpsonCreativeZone.com) content at no cost to visitors. For more information on the Epson R1900 and other Epson products, visit www.Epson.com
