Home Movie Depot, Inc. and Kaltura Team to Deliver a Wide Variety of Video Digitization, Editing, Collaboration and DVD-Burning Tools

Online Home Movie Transfer Company Partners With Nation's Top Video Collaboration Website

ASHLAND, MO--(Marketwire - March 4, 2008) - Home Movie Depot, Inc. -- the online destination where consumers and professional videographers have their family movies digitized into DVDs -- is proud to announce its partnership with Kaltura, Inc. -- the People's Choice for #1 video sharing website, as voted in the Mashable Open Web Awards and at TechCrunch40. This partnership will revolutionize the way that users share movies online. The relationship involves a multi-phase release of features, beginning with the offering of Home Movie Depot digitization services to all Kaltura Network members through HomeMovieDepot.com.

"We're very proud to be partnering with a company that shares our desire to lead the industry with new technology," says Gerald McKinney, president of Home Movie Depot. "Home Movie Depot's mission is to help people have fun with their memories while creating new ones, and Kaltura whole-heartedly embodies that mission."

The first phase of this joint venture launches in March, when users all across the Kaltura Network will be able to combine footage shot with their digital camera with digitized footage from old 8mm & 16mm films, Beta & VHS tapes, slides, negatives, photos, etc. Home Movie Depot will digitize movies, send back a DVD and/or hard drive of the digital files and automatically upload the files to the customer's account. Phase two of the project will enable users to add and edit material, and further customize the DVD using Kaltura's technology.

"Kaltura is very excited about this relationship with Home Movie Depot, and the synergy between our two companies," says Ron Yekutiel, CEO of Kaltura. "This partnership fits perfectly into our strategy of enhancing and spreading Kaltura's technology through existing sites and communities. Our entire Network will now be able to offer their users the option to digitize their media and burn their online videos on DVDs."

"Home Movie Depot is already a dominant online provider of digitization services, and this partnership will allow even more users to benefit from our ever growing product and service offerings," said Chris Force, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Home Movie Depot. "This partnership compliments our world-wide sales efforts through our rapidly growing affiliate and partnership programs. We continue to offer industry leading, state of the art programs to end users, photographers, videographers and retail outlets combined with exceptional customer service."
