ACH Foam Technologies Shines Spotlight on SE Packaging Market
Cutting Edge Plant Expands Service and Packaging Product Offerings

GAINESVILLE, GA--(Marketwire - March 6, 2008) - An 80,000 sq ft plant in Gainesville
acquired by ACH Foam Technologies in
2006 is positioned to serve the growing needs of the southeastern US
packaging market with expanded packaging product
offerings and superior customer service. ACH Foam Technologies specializes
in custom molded
expanded polystyrene (EPS), fabricated EPS, and insulated
shipping containers for pharmaceutical companies, the electronics and
applications industry, the wine industry and the federal government.
ACH Foam Technologies' packaging materials are designed to cushion,
protect, absorb shocks and insulate product during shipping, handling and
storage. Custom molded EPS packaging better protects merchandise than other
packaging products, such as corrugated cardboard, from repeated impacts
during shipment. This reduces waste in the supply chain.
ACH Packaging products are made with recycled material and do not contain
CFCs, HCFCs, HFCs or formaldehyde. EPS is lighter in weight than
alternative (corrugated cardboard, wood) packaging, is easier to handle and
reduces labor and transportation costs.
The Gainesville plant will serve the southeastern packaging market by
offering shorter shipping distances and production lead-times. The plant
houses two new Hirsch custom molding machines that produce custom molded
EPS packaging with extremely close tolerances using state-of-the-art design
software.
ACH prides itself on superior customer service. "ACH did a fantastic job
solving a particularly difficult problem for us," said Louette Honbarrier,
buyer for Supply One. "We had an EPS part we needed reproduced and had no
technical specs on it. What made the situation even more difficult was a
delivery date we promised to our customer in just two weeks' time.
"ACH was able to research and analyze the part, fabricate it, order
specialty boxes and bags for shipping -- even special pallets. They came
through on time even though we actually changed the order midstream. We're
so happy, we've already placed our second order."
ACH will exhibit at the South Pack Expo at the Charlotte, NC Convention
Center, March 19-20. Products on display at booth 247 will include ACH's
custom molded EPS packaging, and fabricated and insulated shipping
containers.
