SHREWSBURY, NJ--(Marketwire - March 10, 2008) - Lifeboat Distribution, an international
specialty software distributor for virtualization and other technically
sophisticated products, today announced its agreement with Quest Software
to distribute the ScriptLogic suite of network administration software for
Microsoft Windows-based networks through its global network of resellers
and solution providers. ScriptLogic is a wholly owned subsidiary of Quest
Software. This agreement builds on an existing distribution partnership
covering Quest Software's extensive portfolio of tools for application,
database, and Microsoft Windows management.
ScriptLogic security and administration tools become part of Lifeboat's
exclusive Virtualization and Security World Views -- best-of-breed software
portfolios designed to fulfill the solution needs of resellers and their
end customers in those areas. Quest is already well represented in these
World Views, with Vintela Authentication Services and the disaster recovery
and virtual infrastructure management products of Quest subsidiary
Vizioncore.
"With the growing complexity of enterprise systems and networks,
infrastructure management is a critical IT concern for customers and thus a
significant service opportunity for our solution providers," said Dan
Jamieson, vice president and general manager, Lifeboat Distribution.
"We're pleased to add ScriptLogic to the line-up of great Quest Software
products in our Virtualization and Security World Views."
"Consultation, problem solving, joint ownership have been key
characteristics of our great relationship with Lifeboat Distribution
to-date," said Mike Ragusa, VP Channels and Alliances, Quest Software. "We
expect more of the same, as we bring the ScriptLogic suite under the Quest
channel umbrella and deliver compelling business opportunity for our
resellers and the best possible solutions for their end-user customers."
