The Nomination Committee of Net Insight will propose to the 2008 Annual General Meeting on April 10, 2008 to elect two new Board members; Gunilla Fransson who is Managing Director of Saab Communication and Arne Wessberg who is President of Prix Europa and International Institute of Communications and Chairman of the Board of DigiTVPlus Oy.
Gunilla Fransson has over 20 years of experience from the telecommunications industry. She has held various leading positions within the Ericsson Group where she most recently was product and development manager at Ericsson Enterprise between 2005 and 2008. Previous positions at Ericsson include VP Product Area Mobile Internet Solutions, VP Strategic Business Development at Core Unit Service Layer and VP Product Development Unit Mobile Internet Applications. Gunilla Fransson started her career in the mid 1980's with various positions within the Ericsson research and development organization.
In February 2008, Gunilla Fransson assumed the position of Managing Director of Saab Communication.
Arne Wessberg has a longstanding and solid experience from the media and communications industry. Between 2000 and 2006 he was President of the EBU (European Broadcasting Union) and during more than ten years Arne Wessberg was Director General of YLE (the Finnish broadcasting company) in which he also started his career within the broadcasting industry in the beginning of the 1970's. Between 1999 and 2003, Arne Wessberg was Chairman of the Board of Digita Oy and also served on the Board of Directors of the Nokia Corporation during five years until 2006.
Since 2006, Arne Wessberg is President of Prix Europa and the President of IIC (International Institute of Communications) and Chairman of the Board of DigiTVPlus Oy
Gunilla Fransson and Arne Wessberg are proposed to replace Birgitta Stymne Göransson and Marco Limena whom have declined re-election. Including these changes, the Nomination Committee will propose to the Annual General Meeting on April 10, 2008 the following composition of a new Board of Directors of Net Insight AB; Lars Berg (Chairman of the Board), Clifford H. Friedman, Bernt Magnusson, Ragnar Bäck, Gunilla Fransson and Arne Wessberg.
